Underwater and Photography Trips to see and Photograph Wildlife
Snorkel to see the predation of Sailfish, billfish, and marlin as they hunt the sardine run in Mexico. Isla Mujeres or Magdalena Bay are the best places to see this underwater photography spectacle and I lead scuba and snorkel trips to both.
In November 2023 my guests and I encountered the best sardine run action at Magdalena Bay seen in many years. The size of the sardine schools and the number of predators made it an exceptionally great year for photography. We were surprised by the presence of Mahi Mahi, whales, and dolphins. Striped marlin were plentiful and encounters long. Of course the sea lions were there to keep in humorous. Diving in Cabo Pulmo was a beautiful finish.
2022 was another wonderful experience at Magdalena Bay Baja Mexico and La Paz and Cabo Pulmo scuba diving. This is my best trip with unexpected wildlife encounters with whales, seals, dolphin, marlin hunting sardines and giant schools of fish
2021 was a year to make up for postponed trips from 2020 but also to find new destinations and offer last minute trips to places open for travel. I was happy to return to favorite places like South Africa and Mexico while adding special experiences like the Sardine Run and Polar Bears. My 2022 Baja, Mexico trip had a great group of guests, good weather, and good fun. We had many static bait balls with striped marlin and sea lions. Our dives at La Paz and Cabo Pulmo showed us some of the best diving in Baja. We had the bonus of seeing humpbacked whales in Mag Bay.

My 2020 Baja Dive Safari with Magdalena Bay Striped Marlin was a big success. The action at Magdalena Bay was phenomenal with a bonus humpback whale sighting. The sea lion colony at La Paz was fun and interactive and Cabo Pulmo Marine Park always amazes
