In this post I describe how I turned my camera in its underwater housing into a temporary pole camera to use while photographing sharks. The whole thing cost me less than $100
Contained herein I describe some of my favorite moments of 2013 with the accompanying images. I had a great year starting with sailfish in Mexico, then manatees and cageless tiger shark adventures, whale sharks and giant mantas. Also 2 different trips to South Africa for safaris groups yielded many great stories and memories. Very happy to share this with you.
I visited Simon’s Town South Africa to see the famous breaching Great White Sharks and was fortunate to witness several really great breaches, predatory events, and some passes by the cage underwater. Thrilling trip and not to miss!
My 2013 Tiger Shark Dive Expedition was a great success. I have completed my Trip Log and posted some of the pictures from the trip.
Our 2013 Manatee Photography Workshop was a great success. We had fine weather and manatees to photograph. Our last days were the most special when we had some playful babies. We also witnessed a manatee rescue first hand.
I just returned from a great 2 weeks of sailfish photography. The guests had a great time and came home with some amazing images they can be proud of.
Underwater photography of manatees allows the photographer time plan shots and get into optimal position for the shot. In Manatee Photography Workshop I will be assisting photographers with the special techniques of manatee photography.
